Picture Changing Hue/Temperature When Uploading Is anyone seeing what appears to be a hue or temperature change (i.e. warming) of your original picture after uploading it to your gallery?

Ed, it happens to my submissions once in awhile. Just couple of days ago I enteted a very complicated ‘Metal and silk’ image and on the BP website it looked much more reddish than I could tolerate. So I deleted that entry, went back to my JPEG image on Photoshop, chose Curves and slightly increased the curve in the Green Channel. Of course, it did not look flattering on JPEG on PS but after submission it looked perfect on the website. This is one of the ways I know how to change the color cast – increasing or decreasing the Red, Green or Blue Channels. Hope it helps.

Never had this happen before but over the last few days, I too am seeing a color shift when I upload, Ed. My last few photos looked "muddy" with a loss of contrast. In trying to determine if the problem was on my end or BP's, I uploaded the same photos to another app and did not experience any color shift or loss of contrast. Attempted uploading a photo this morning but then deleted because the color shift was still very apparent on my photo.

Thank you both. Now I know I haven't had a change in my color perception. Natasha, I'm pretty much seeing what you're seeing and have been trying to correct for that. Your suggestion will certainly help. Val, I'll keep an eye out for the "muddiness" and loss of contrast you mentioned. Again, thank you both!!

Thanks, Ed for bringing up this problem and thanks, Natasha, for your input on a fix. Looking forward to trying it out. Good luck, Ed - hope it works for you, too! (This is the very best part of BP - members working together with suggestions to help each other out. Thanks guys!)

Use the export function in Photoshop or Lightroom, saving the file as .png. For whatever reason, this works to keep everything intact as you have developed.

Just had the same issue for the first time. What finally worked for me was upping the saturation a little and adding a touch of brightness. Thanks for the helpful posts. I never would have thought to tweak it without you guys!
