Looks like your camera went out in a blaze of glory! You have a gorgeous gallery--really like the colour tones of your work. The patience required to get superb nature shots must be great indeed in that weather! #8376005Kathryn Wesserling February 12, 2010
There's a subtle sense of humor in this shot that's delightful (such as a reluctance to put that foot down in the really really cold snow! lol)So sorry about the camera. I finally starting selling off each of my old ones when the new one came, but it was scary. Can you rent one to get you through the no-shoot time?
Lastly, thank you for the in-depth details. It's a great mini-tute for shooting snow and wildlife. #8376124

Fantastic shot of this "old man" walking in the snow. Congratulations on POTD. Well deserved. I wonder how big is this bird. Did you lie in the snow to capture it? #8376319Kathryn Wesserling February 12, 2010
Rony - that's what I thought, too (belly-down shot?) But, Jeroen mentions it's taken from the car window! I'm still trying to figure that one out! lolll #8376347Linda D. Lester February 12, 2010
