Thanks for the kind words everyone!

I've had several requests for more info about this image, so, here's some detail. Time and approximate direction of moonrise were researched in advance. It was shot with Canon 30D and Canon 70-200 f/4L at 200mm, with 1.4x converter on a tripod around dusk.

There was a bit of digital "trickery." I shot 2 shots, the first with sharp focus on the lighthouse, yielded a slightly soft moon (if you look closely, the contrail is slightly soft, too, but that hardly matters), and shot another shot with the moon sharply focused, and with a bit of careful masking, the images were combined.
