OMG you all, this win is so amazing and words cannot even begin to describe the feeling I had when I learned of the news. I have been trying for a year just to get a finalist; my first finalist in March, second in April and now first place in May. Wow, when it rains it pours. I am excited to accomplish one of my many goals while learning and gaining personal growth towards being the best digital photographer I can be.
I am so humbled by the support you all consistently have for me and if it were not for the love and support of the Better Photo Community I would not be in the position I am in today.

Thank you very much Mary Beth. It's a great honor to be in the winner's circle with you and all the other talented photographers. I was looking through all the past Grand Prize Winners and First Place and I see that these two spots are very hard to land even for the most talented here, so I do consider myself very fortunate to be in the position that I am and never take anything for granted because there are some wonderful photos throughout this site that are more deserving than mine but yet I captured top honors. This is why I am so honored and grateful to be in first place.
