Thank you all very much! This photo means a lot to me because it was a bit of photo journalism. We just happened to be standing there with a crowd of train buffs waiting for the steam train to come by on an autumn foliage ride. As the train rounded the bend, it suddenly stopped. It quickly became obvious that the train had derailed. Newspaper accounts the next day said that over the years several trains had derailed at the same location but hadn't been as lucky. At least two trains had gone into the river as recently as the 1960's and several people had died. Everyone was very lucky the day this photo was taken! #1279356Sharon Day April 22, 2005
