Cute one, Piper. My son came down with pneumonia, the poor thing, so I haven't had a lot of time to shoot lately.
I have a question for you, I will send you email later, bye for now.

Very creative, Piper. The fish are in perfect positions so as not to obstruct your cute subject. I like it a lot. #44396Cathy M. Gromball May 26, 2019
Awesome shot, Piper! So cute!Cathy :) #44424

Thanks, guys. This is a practice shot. I plan to improve this technique by using different lighting and a bigger fishbowl. I am trying to "copy" a similar shot of Nancy Brown's I saw at Nikon.net. You can see her much better shot in the Legends galleries. I got a new HUMONGOUS 5-in-1 reflector panel for Christmas, so I was trying to use the gold side to bouce some light into Liam's face through the bowl. I'm thinking I'll just put him out in some overcast light next time and use the white reflector underneath. Would love you all to join in and see what you can come up with as far as lighting for this technique. #44437Sobia Chishti May 26, 2019
Love the lighting as well as shot. #44485Kathleen Clemons May 26, 2019
Hi Piper- I like this one alot! It will be fun to see what else you come up with but this one's pretty darn cute. :) #44511Piper Lehman May 26, 2019
Thanks, guys. As you can see, there's a lot of glare and unwanted reflections to correct. This bowl isn't as clear as I would like either. DOF is a hard one, as well, since to get everything in focus slows the shutter down too much--and this was ISO-400. I think some more even light from an overcast day, or shade on a brighter day, might be the ticket to everything falling into place. #44519Cheryl Meisel May 26, 2019

Congratulations Piper,Piper Lehman May 26, 2019
Thanks, everyone!Amalia, I have been busy -- trying to make a little money to help pay for my new camera. I haven't shot anything in a couple of weeks! I think this is the longest I've ever gone without touching my cameras. Scary to think I might forget everything I've learned. Promise to get back to work here soon. #59588

Congrats Piper on your win! This is so creative and fun! #59866Piper Lehman May 26, 2019
Thanks, Shell. Congrats to you, too. I knew your puppy pic would take the big prize. Awesome work.Did I see where you had submitted your work to an agency? Email me and tell me all about it! If you're worried about not having enough images, you should keep checking around with various agencies. Your work is so good, I can't imagine them demanding quantity over quality. It's obvious that your talent should outweigh any quantity issue. There are shops out there who value small portfolios when those few images are unique and the photog is excellent, as you are. Anyway, would love to hear all about your latest adventures!
