Love this Andrew! The lighting is gorgeous and I love the subtle highlights it brings to the background. I also really enjoy the curve of the fence with the horizontal road....NICE!!Peter W. Marks June 05, 2008
Good morning Andrew! This is one of those "wish it was mine" images! I can't think of any way I would want this different - a really super shot. It is not the technical stuff that grips me but rather what I see in the image. That the kids on the horse are heading out of the scene and in mid ground creates a story for us that our imagination can play with.Joy Rector June 05, 2008

Thank you all for your kind words and thoughts on this image. Background:
I took the wife on a mother's day trip. She has really been working hard and she wanted to "get away from it all". This image comes from a family farm just across the way from Ravenwood Castle where we were staying. We decided to do some hiking and I came across the scene and it just begged to be recorded.
The wife and I decided that when we go back, I'm going to make a nice, big print and give it to the girl's family. I'm sure they would love to have it.
Peter,
I know what you mean. There are times when I look at others photos and wish the same. The IS lens is definitely a great aid, especially for those long telephoto shots. Once you get used to having the IS, you'll not know how you lived without it. #6021322
