Gary, this photo is certainly kissed with splendor and color. Your photos are all so artfully composed. I enjoy logging in to your gallery because every time I do, I learn a little more of what good photography is all about. By the way.....(how to you find the time to comment on so many photos?) I commend you for taking the time to encourage others. Doug #14993

Wonderful shot Gary! I love Steller's Jays! We have quite a few here in the mountain areas and I spend quite a bit of time around them in the summertime!

Thank you all very much! I'm glad you like my Jay. It took a lot of shots to get one that wasn't blurred too bad. It was actually quite dark out so I had to use a very slow shutter speed.

Doug, I've had a lot of time to spend on line viewing all the gorgeous photos for the last couple weeks. I had too much vacation left and the company insisted that I use it before the end of the year...so I have most of December off. After that you probably won't see so much of me :-) I really appreciate your more than generous comment and thanks for visiting my gallery! #29174

This is beautiful, Gary! I want some of these and some of the cardinals. Can you and Rhonda see what you can do about that. Love the background in this shot also. #29243

Oh Gary! Bless your heart! That is just the sweetest thing! I love this!! Everything about it is just beautiful. Love the colors. What a fantastic photo. I actually love the Steller's Jay. We don't have those around here and I wish we did. Yes I would trade you a pair of Cardinals for them:-) Then we will have to get our pairs together and ship some off to Carol:-)
Thank you again Gary, you just made my entire day!

A great shot, Gary, showing this bird in its natural environment. A good proof, that it does not always have to be full format as it is the trend with professional bird photographers very often. I met one of Austria's renowned lately and he said, he never goes into the camouflage tent below 800mm!! You (and Rhonda) have shown me that there is another, perhaps more tender way of doing it.
Kind regards to both of you!

Carol, Thank you! I wish it was that easy for us all to just move the birds around so that we could share their beauty..but alas, it would probably be an environmental disaster :-) Guess we'll just have to stick with sharing pics.

Rhonda, I'm glad you like your Jay and I hope you got your email with the larger version.

A. Aziz, Thank you for your comment,it is definitely appreciated :-)

Birdie, I appreciate and am grateful for your sentiments. Thanks for the encouragement! #29541
