I made the photo last week in Portsmouth, England. I noticed how the Guildhall reflected on the building of the Portsmouth City Council on the other side of the Guildhall Square. I cropped the photo and made slight changes in the overall image balance.

I was quite busy at work this morning (my time is 10 hours ahead of BP time), so when I returned to my computer I saw about 10 e-mails with the number of this photo... I knew it would be too early for announcing last month's finalists and the number of the photo was also a bit too big for it to be a photo from March so at first I thought somebody had commented the photo once and clicked 10 times on the submit button (it happens sometimes that a photo gets several comments in a row from the same person). So, when I clicked on the discussion, it was great to discover why this photo got so much attention.... especially as it is my first POTD.

Absolutely wonderful image, Tiia!! I missed this one! I've been in and out recently. My Dad passed away a few weeks ago and ai was back in my home town in Michigan, one of the great 50 states. He and Mom were in their car and I think Dad blacked out or something. Mom is OK but Dad had too many complications from the accident.
