Description

This image is based on a photo I made last December in Hamburg Airport, Germany (to see it, look at the discussion of this photo). I used the Polar Coords (polarizer) effect in Gimp and then I cropped the image a bit and made some changes in the contrast, brightness and gamma of the whole photo.

Just install Gimp from www.gimp.org (it is free), open your image and then go to Filters ... Distorts ... Polar Coords and then select cirle depth 0 (if you want to get a quadrangular image).

I do not have Photoshop. I use Gimp for effects, MS Photo Editor for softening, sharpening, cropping and changing the image balance (Gimp can do it, too, but not as fast) and sometimes also MS Paint for collages and clearing everything from around an object.

Go to www.gimp.org and download Gimp (freeware). Open a photo and find the Polar Coords effect from Distortions. Select the settings for applying it and then you should get something of this type. This effect takes the left and the right side of your photo and glues them together. Of course, it stretches the image while doing it, too.
