Fabulous capture! I feel like I'm flying with them! #168157Brenda Tharp September 13, 2004
Thanks Janet! That would be even more exciting, to fly with them, wouldn't it? The effect of being with them is due to my point of view. I was on an observation deck above the boggy area, about three feet off the ground, and they had just taken off, so they were still low as they flew by me. #773764Karen Engelbreth September 03, 2005
WOW - fantastic image, Brenda - love it! #1798895Alexandra Hankova November 25, 2007
This is beautiful! The colours and the dreaminess of the image, it's like an impressionistic painting. #5121196Brenda Tharp November 30, 2007
Thank you Karen, Nikoloz and Alexandra for your compliments on the photograph. I've been traveling a great deal the past four months and internet limitations kept me focused on critiques and QnA for my classes; but I do finally catch up.This was a morning that was so unexciting in terms of the light for getting great images of the birds frozen in flight and with golden light on them. But when one picture opportunity goes away, sometimes another presents itself, and the low light levels allowed me to use a slow shutter and pan to get this dreamy effect. Glad you all like it!
