I want to clarify my comment. I did not intend for it to come off as rude. Normaly it is customary to offer a suggestion when they see a problem with a photo. However I do not know how to use a photo program so cannot offer that. All I can do is point out my ovservation. Like photgraphy, a program takes lots of practice to do properly and we are all gathered here to learn from each other. So the best advice I can offer is to keep shooting and never get discouraged. #840724bob cornelison October 14, 2004
Thanks to all for your comments! Scott I take critique quite well because I know that is how to get better and I want to know if there are things I can do to get a better final product. This is actually only one shot but I did select the sky, deleted it and then used a gradient fill for the sky. I do get frustrated with the magic want selection tool though because it doesn't get right up to the edges without a jagged edge that I innevitably have to clean up and that takes a long time usually. Any hints here would be greatly appreciated.Leanne M.E. Boyd October 14, 2004
Fantastic, Bob! Congrats! #841089Donna La Mattino Pagakis October 14, 2004
Awesome image, I love the color combinations, the lines, and the overall presentation. Very well done and deserving of photo of the day. Congratulations. #841191Mary-Ella Bowles October 14, 2004
I love the angles, low vantage point, and high drama of this image. Wonderful!! It keeps me looking at it over and over (waiting for her to fall back, I guess, lol). Great work, Bob. I agree with you about the magic wand tool - I'm never satisfied with it either. #841221bob cornelison October 14, 2004
Thanks Leanne, Donna and Mary-Ella!! I can't help waiting for the fall back too! It's like one of those trust things where you just fall back and someone will catch you but in this case it's all up to you to fall just right so you hit the water without hurting yourself.Kathleen R. Struckle October 14, 2004
