Hello Jim....I don't know about the rest of "society", but the before shot beckons to me with realism. After shot has tooooo much dark blue, ruining sky colors and blue letters on boat. One palm throws it off balance, where real ones balance and tangled red rope is priceless, and dark blue at bottom of boat is another "touch" of beautiful color. I LOVE color, but it seems to me that "perfection", (which doesn't exist in this world), and "trying to achieve it (in photography)", is getting wayyyyy far away from the realism and FUN of it. If this is what photography has turned into, then I will sorely miss "the real stuff". I am an admirer of your skills and photos and others, but when I can spot "faux" manipulation then it simply is no longer "attention-getting". LOVE THE BEFORE, BRIGHT AND INVITING!!! Thank you for your input and sharing as I am an admirer, just have a different opinion on this one.

Thanks for your input, Mary. I have a lot of clients who buy my pictures specifically because they are 'perfect'. Jigsaw puzzle manufacturers and calendars, specifically. That's my target market with images like this. But I am glad to know that you like the before version.
