Thank you, Karen, Kelly and Donna. Right, Donna: The weather is getting warmer here in Norway, so I've got some extra energy now (yes, it's a multiple self portrait: Fun, fun, fun :-)) #612582Leah Marshall June 23, 2004
This is a very cool shot. The digital enhancement is awesome. I wont ask you to reveal your secrets... #612654Andre Marhaug June 23, 2004
Thanks, Leah. I have no secrets, - I'm here for sharing :-). I will try to explain, in my limited English:I used a tripod, and then I shot a lot of pictures with a remote control while I was jumping in different styles. It's important that the tripod is steady, so the images have the exact same background. It's also important to turn off the autofocus, and use the flash in manual mode (so the depth of field and the lightning are equal in the different shots).
Then I made two pictures with flying selfportraits, mirrored one of them, and pasted it to the other one (that's why the resulting image have this mirrored look).
To finish it all, I took a third picture (face portrait) and pasted it as a new layer, with the mode "Dodge" at 38%.
The flying men are painted from one photo to another with clone brush (it's important that the clone target and starting point are at the exact same pixel).
Some work, but it's fun :-)) #612676
