The light beams come streaming in at mid day, but the guides will throw up some sand to emphasis the effect. Very cool place! #4502162

Thank you all for your positive responses!!
This shot was taken on the Summer Solstice which the sun is as far overhead as it gets. We "stumbled" into the time by chance, shooting Monument Valley and needed something to do in the middle of the day. This fit the bill!! If you're ever in the area, spend the extra few dollars to get the Photographers tour!! The guides hold back the traffic and really help the photogs to get good shot. Throwing dirt in the light beams, etc.!!

I used Photoshop to adjust levels and did some minor dodging and burning to highlight the needed areas.
