This majestic adult bald eagle spooked from high on a cliff just as we set up our tripods to capture him. His power and effortless flight was evident as he swooped down from his perch and glided in a curving right arc past us. Image cropped to minimize the distracting background while letting him fly into the picture. Kluane National Park, British Columbia, on our Alaska vacation.

Karen, Aida & Allan - Thank you so much for your kind words of encouragement!! What we experienced in 13 days in Alaska still excites us! The Alaska that we saw left such a memorable impression that we are planning next summer's trip, this time with a twist. We encourage all viewers out there, and specially those that commented and appreciate our eagle picture to give some serious thought to visiting Alaska as the photo ops are endless!!! Thanks again - Dick & Sara #3404023Shawn Jennings October 04, 2006
