Hi Monika - this is one terrifi photograph! At first I didn't see the person, I was so overwhelmed by the beauty of the mounds of snow and trees - and then "wow" - there they were - what a great surprise! Wonderful image, congratulations! #338028Bernard B. Travers January 18, 2004
Congratulations, Monika.Monika Sapek January 19, 2004
Brenda – thank you very much for you kind comment! I have to tell you that I was patiently waiting for this little guy, because only his appearance could show us the real size of the trees and surrounding space. I just wish to have those trees looking a little bit taller, but that was all I could squeeze from my camera standing from the place where I was. Once again – thank you for your time!Bernard – I’m really grateful for your nice comment! Thank you!

Looks just like my back yard, Monika! Very nice composition and excellent exposure and white balance. Congrats on a well deserved win :-) #344423Monika Sapek January 25, 2004
Cathy, Kathleen, Gary and Lauren – a generous thank you for your nice comments!Lauren – I took this photo on December 29th and I was lucky enough to find this place covered by the freshly fallen snow. While I walk there I always carry my camera hanging on a strap from my neck or in my bag, never in my hands. There is always so much to hike up or slide down, so it could be dangerous carrying it just in hands. I must protect mostly myself at that time ;-).
