Hi Karyl,
I’m not sure you will like this answer; the results would be difficult to reproduce. The image was made with a handmade camera that used a 28mm lens and 120 film, very wide. The exposure was in the range of 30 seconds and I believe the aperture was f16 to f22. I still shoot with this camera, as it provides a unique viewpoint. There is a picture of the camera, and one more of my handmade cameras, on my BetterPhoto site. Creativity can be applied to the tools you use as well as the pictures you take. Hi Karyl,
Cameras are simpler than we think. Really just a lens and film will do the job. The key is to bring an understanding of how images are captured. Film did make it easier to this kind of home built camera. Thanks for you interest in my shot.
