Thanks to all for your kind comments. There's a funny story to this one. I was leading a workshop and we were on our way to photograph wildlife in a controlled environment. On the way, I noticed this single tree in the early morning light and fog. I pulled over and invited all, but everyone else was so eager to get to the wildlife they decided to stay in the cars. I snapped a few quick images and this was my favorite.Over the years, I have found that it pays to switch gears whenever necessary. The photographer needs to previsualize and plan, but then needs to be willing to throw the plan out the window or put it on pause when presented with something better.
By the way, the blue in this scene was exaggerated by choosing a cold white balance (close to the Tungsten setting).
Thanks again! #3349965

The photo gives off a warm but cool feeling, I like it. I am drawn to what appears to be a single birds nest! The unplanned moments are all around us, it is amazing. There are times when I forget my camera (ugh!) lol. and I put up "finger frames" and say only if I had my camera today! :) people look at me odd, lol. #6170149Dr. Harmeet Singh September 05, 2008
