Black and White for Ever

Uploaded: April 08, 2006

Description

At least I thought they were black and white but the black is a touch red. Still I prefer not to change to b&w. Maybe I should?
Spot the three wildebeest amongst the zebras. They are constant companions. Wherever you see a herd of wildebeest there will be one or two zebra and vice versa.
This was part of the cycle of the great migration throughout Kenya and Tanzania. Shot in the Serengeti in Northern Tanzania

You have sent me to the dictionary with Wildebeest! So those horned, sometimes called Gnu`s are the Wildebeest.Strange how you get some intermingling with the Zebras and visa versa, has to be some biological advantage there.Thats a great shot Kate, the design is realy fantastic.Must say though, like Jill,I get a bit spinny in the head! #2624273

I love this shot, Kate, great colors, tones and dof. It makes me a little "dizzy" too! LOL! It's so cool, though. And it's BW without being BW--cool! Mary :-) #2624367

Paul, thanks, it is the black and white zebra which I am entering!
Thanks everyone for your comments and sorry to make you dizzy!
Yes Joe Wildebeest are one and the same as Gnus. Not sure what the bio advantages are but they do seem to get along and both go on the same migration and graze on the same grasses.
Dennis you are right and they look so funny when you think of it like that!
That's great Mary that you don't think I should change to b&w. I was a bit worried about the touch of red in some of them! #2625687
