Description

My fascination w/ crows continues this week in my outdoor studio. This week I traded out the grapevine basket for food to a silver plated sugar bowl to see their reaction. They were skeptical at first but soon figured out that they could put their foot on it and tip it over for the corn. I wanted to show the details of crows most folks would never see, from their intricate pattern of feathers on their back to the downy feathers underneath and on their legs. This one packed his beak full of corn after a taste test before flying off. I used a different lens that I seldom use to see what it would do. I still haven't found the ideal combination of settings to capture the best details. Suggestions appreciated :) Single Frame image F5.6 1/320 iso 400 @208mm
