Vastness of the Tundra
Uploaded: November 12, 2014 | Entered: November 12, 2014 12:15:13
In this capture I wanted to show the vastness, starkness and texture of the frozen tundra so I decided to shot in the vertical presentation used the bear as foreground interest and the early morning sky in the background. The bear was hungry and hunting seaweed as he had yet to get to where the seals were at the edge of the ice.

Your choice of vertical comp did exactly as you intended it to do...the starkness and seemingly, forever ongoing expanse of this big fella's home really grabs the viewer and brings home the point very effectively. Love the layers of textures and colors....great exposure work, too, Emile! #11185254John Connolly November 13, 2014
