Hoh rainforest 2
Uploaded: November 25, 2013
Moss hanging from tree limb, stream of growth. HOH(hoe) Rain Forest. Olympic National Park. Clear very cold day with sky peaking through reflecting in the water. Was in Forks WA (Twilight fans know this place) fishing last week. The Hoh is one of the finest remaining examples of temperate rainforest in the United States. In the Winter months rain falls frequently, contributing to the yearly total of 140 to 170 inches(12-14 feet) of precipitation each year. The result is a lush, green canopy of both coniferous and deciduous species. Mosses and ferns that blanket the surfaces add another dimension to the enchantment of the rainforest.
Exif: F Number: 4, Exposure Bias Value: -0.67, ExposureTime: 1/30 seconds, Flash: did not fire., ISO: 200, White balance: Auto white balance, FocalLength: 28.00 mm, Model: NIKON D700
