New Frog in the Pond
Uploaded: July 11, 2012
----
He is TINY...and completely unaware of the mortal danger that lurks only yards away from where he is relaxing.
-----
The heron will almost CERTAINLY prey on him.

Mr. P. looks as if he's been around the block a few times - hopefully he'll be wily enough to avoid becoming lunch! Well done! #10224679Kirsten Kiki Kjaer July 11, 2012
Right out of a story book! I love the color and all together kind of mysterious feel to this well captured image, Michelle. I wonder what would happen if you kissed him. HEHE! #10224799Tiia Vissak July 11, 2012

Life and death on the pond. We went hiking last week and saw a bald eagle get a duckling. Alas, it is the way of the world. #10224942John Connolly July 11, 2012

Oh, your goofy little newbie is adorable! I hope he evades the heron. Pumpkin is a great name for the chubby frog! Terrific work, Michelle! #10225396Michelle Alton July 11, 2012
@Terry: The goofy little newbie WAS adorable. She, unfortunately, was NOT paying attention this afternoon, or was not aware of the lurking danger. She was captured, turned, dunked, turned, in a cycle that seemed to go on forever. Finally her head was positioned properly, facing the little heron's throat and down she went. The good news is that about 10 nearby frogs scattered immediately.Whew! I have THE predation photos. #10225413
