Jennie A. Dillman October 19, 2005

It is beautiful...but, I am by no means a good photographer and know little of all the in and outs of it..

I just go by what I see if I like it,, I think the leaves look to high up, and to me, looks like it would look better if it had been water in the place of leaves... I feel I am looking up from the ground..

I am not putting you down so don't feel bad at me..Ha!

But, other wise it is beautiful, wish I could do that.. #1968723

Jenny Pate-Hyndman October 19, 2005

Gorgeous photo! I love the perspective, the colors and the photoshopping. Excellent job, by someone who is obviously far more talented than myself! ;-)

Congrats! #1968863

Susan Jane Allen level-classic October 19, 2005

I think perhaps that's what they mean when they say "prone position"--looking from the ground up, so actually, the leaves would be higher up and you would get that feeling. Makes you feel a little disoriented at first, but lying on the ground looking up can be nice sometimes. #1968865

Sylvia B. Toftness October 19, 2005

Terrific image! Love the perspective and colors. What a job of taking a great photo and working it into art. #1968869

Congrats on your POTD feature! Excellent shot & wonderful ps work! Welcome to the "bogbia" club! ;) LOL

No offense to anyone but some people should stick to a rule my mother taught me when I was little...
"If you can't say something nice don't say anything at all!"

Have a great day!

October 19, 2005

Congrats on POTD! Awesome effect! Love the colors and the sky does have an eerie look but works great with the trees.love the angle on the prone or lying on your belly position. Gives a while different perspective of things at thia angle. More people should try it. Works great for photographng children too. TFS

How did you get the effect if the sky but leave the trees looking normal? Love it! #1969057

never limit your views on anything.

Very aesthetically pleasing image, I like the low angle and interesting composition, but for me the photoshopping of the trees doesnt add anything to the image. please don't take this negatively, I think it is a wonderful photograph, but it would have been nice to see the original as well. congrats on POTD. #1969968

Mary L. Lemley October 19, 2005

Obviously, Michelle forgets that this is a critique forum also, not, "wowstunninggorgeous, lovelabsolutelybreathtakinglovelovelovelove" It's "different" to ME. The other shots, if you have any would be interesting to see. One without the leaves taking your eye to ground with no detail, and instead top, with trees and sky not cut-off quite so much. Just an "observant opinion" of many.

Thanks Tess! Buzzing was very "in" back then. Much of the novelty wore for me not long after. Most photos that I'd buzzed I've since redone without it. This is one that I still prefer buzzed. #7934440
