Thanks everyone. This was a big shock to me, but a welcome one.Peter, this was a bit more complicated than it looks. I started by using shadows/highlights and then converted using Topaz traditional cool tone #1 b/w conversion. Some levels adjustments and then (I don't remember why) additional conversion using the gradient map.
A bit of sharpening and selective tonal adjustments etc completed the image. The composition is as shot. #9795877
