Final Stretch
Uploaded: September 05, 2005
This was taken at the Maryland State Fair this month. Found a great vantage point to shoot as they rounded the final corner and head for the finish line. Shot through a chain link fence so had to set the lens at F/2.8 on the 400mm. This put the speed at 1/2000 allowing a crisp shot. Used single point focus in AI mode.

LOL - I was lucky to be behind that chain link fence.I tried to capture the power by getting as low to the ground with the camera that I could. Thanks for the kind comments from all.
