Renaissance Tower / Magic Wand Tool vs3

Uploaded: September 17, 2010

Description

Created a duplicate layer, then used the Magic Wand tool to select the sky and changed it to a sepia, adding a bit of afternoon sun in the upper left corner and erasing some of the white off of the building. Opened another layer and inverted it to encolse the building and the flag. Used Nik software colorize filter using a tan/strong sepia tone. Before flattening it, I used the eraser tool to make Old Glory stand out a bit more. Flattened and resized for web. I did use one more layer with Nik Software to give a little more light to the side of the building I chose to put the sun on. I took me a while to find photos that were suitable without too much detail for this first two...then I chose the Sacramento Capitol to try the Quick Selction tool as well.
