Great action shot, Robert. You had a great vantage point on this one. Way to capture it!! #1638563Robert K. Bemus July 25, 2005
Thank you, Greg, for the comment...I like shooting here because the action is very close - with my 300mm (and it's limited range) it's not too hard to get shots like this...when the conditions are right!! #1638604Ellen Peach July 25, 2005
Fantastic shot & timing, Robert, love the look on her face! #1638683Robert K. Bemus July 25, 2005
Thanks, Ellen! She might of pulled it off but I'm not sure...in the next frame my lens decided to go to infinity...whatever happened, she is a very gutsy girl... #1638715

Great capture, Robert! The look on her face is priceless and there's a really nice flow from left to right diagonally across the image! I see you really bumped up the ISO....2000, huh? :) The faster shutter speed really made a difference. Have you tried holding down the shutter button for continuous shots? If not you might give that a try and see what you get. #1638776Tammy Scott July 26, 2005
Great action shot, Robert! Nice job! #1639237Robert K. Bemus July 26, 2005
Thanks Cora and Tammy!I shot this using the "sports" setting on my 300D...I did not know this mode would choose the ISO (which was actually 400). This is also the mode for shooting continuous shots...I've used the feature a little...I may use it more when I shoot in good lighting (as there was on this day). #1642763
