aperture f 5.6, shutter 1/60, lens- 50-mm, location-Maui,Hawaii. These protea actually looked like they had feathers as petals.

WOW! Thank you all so much for your kind well wishes and congrats. They are so very much appreciated! I love photographing flowers because I love gardening. Even though there are so many floral shots submitted at BetterPhoto, I try to see if I can somehow find something unique and different. It happened to be that I found this plant on a bikeride down the volcano Mt. Haleakala in Maui. Hardly a ride and more like coasting down for two hours. I happened by a garden with these incredible proteas. I guess they are unique to a certain climate that Maui Offers. Anyways, Thank You everyone! -Gunther #2467388
