Description

Darren has been encouraging me to join this site and to post this picture taken when he hosted our visit to Virginia. He is a wonderful and encouraging friend.
Minolta 75-300mm lens, Velvia shot at 50ISO with a tripod. I don't recall any other facts since this was shot last October.

Lovely picture, lovely place, lovely that it still exists!
There's a ruin, near our cottage, of a stone mill and waterwheel, the reservoir that fed the wheel long since filled-in, and only those intrested (like me) can recognise the remains and appreciate a life that existed in the english countryside some 250 years ago. I just wish someone had captured it, as you have done with your little gem, long before "20th century progress" i.e. a motorway, destroyed a part of my local heritage forever. your photo has this extra meaning for me....thanks Alan #1444013
