Morning Chores

...To Propagate...
Female monarchs usually lay just one egg per milkweed plant to ensure enough food for each larva. Most times, the egg is deposited under a leaf. That's just what I found this pretty little thing doing one recent morning in my garden.

Beautifully captured, Val.I was in the Bowman's Hill meadow two days ago. TONS and TONS of milkweed, and I did not see a SINGLE milkweed bug in any of its forms. I ALWAYS look for Monarch chrysalises, (is that the plural?) but have never EVER seen one in the wild. Sigh. #1538166
