I took this just down the street on a sunny but very cold winter day. Though I took several shots of this boy playing on piles of snow while his dad shoveled.

This is the first time I've seen this - and it's a wonderful portrait. So sharp and crisp - and his blue eyes really stand out.

Composed with his head at a diagonal really does the trick, too.

This is as good or better as your Finalist Snowball Effect.
