Akureyri Sky

A few miles outside of the northern city of Akureyri, Iceland, we were able to spot the northern lights - my first time seeing them, ever. I was tickled to see I captured a shooting star as well, in this long exposure. Light from a nearly-full moon is brightening the ground and mountains at left.

Thank you very much, Rosemary! I studied up before my trip, to have a sense of what techniques to use... but even then, there was some serious in-the-field trial-and-error! #11457025Sign up for an interactive online photography course to get critiques on your photos.
