Thanks to all of you for your kind comments. I love shooting flowers with my macro lens. They make such great natural abstracts. I printed this photo and my White Lily (which some of you may have seen up on Better Photo)on Fine Art Museum Classic paper and it is gives them the look and feel of being a painting rather than photo. Thanks Again,

A very belated congratulations on this win! I love macro shots, and really like the ones where the entire image becomes sort of an abstract; I can't get that level of microscopic depth of field to create all that soft blur :( #2480629

Hi Chris,

Thanks for the comments, I love this one too. Did you say you can get closeup filters for your camera. You might try that.

I am sending you a separate e-mail about the Northern Va Aliance.

Hope to see you again real soon!

Yes, I do have a close-up conversion lens. However, from my experience, it just allows me to take a macro shot from 9" away, instead of putting the camera lens right at the subject. It doesn't seem to greatly impact depth of field, any more than the camera's standard Macro Mode setting. But I haven't used it alot yet, so I could be wrong. #2483182
