Inner Lotus

Description

As they mature, the lotus flower builds a large conical seed pod in its center. The lotus are in full bloom in July in the Kenilworth National Aquatic Gardens in Washington, DC., and can be found in all stages, buds to full seed pods after the flower has gone.
