Ah, I have a shot of the snow goose migration that's similar... your title really gives the photo some sense. Congrats on your finalist, Pam.Nancy #846374

Thanks Nancy! I'm really glad this one made it... I love snow geese. I was pretty worried that day because the sky was so gray and dismal, but I think it works well with the white of the geese.Pam #851064

Congrats on this win Pam! Great shot but I have to say it totally creeps me out! When looking at it I got those chills going thru my body. I do not like birds in that kind of quanity. lol You did a great job with your perspective thought, as creepy as it is, you really feel like you are right there under all those geese. I also love how your entire frame is filled with the geese. #878029Pamela K October 29, 2004
Thank you, Peggy! Sorry it creeps you out. It was a fun shot to take. My boyfriend and I were taking shots of snow geese in a pond, then the ones in the back started to take off, soon the whole huge flock was in the air and flying past. All of a sudden, a few changed direction and the flock followed til they were directly overhead! I was a little worried for falling debris, but managed to get some good shots!Pam #878041

Hmmm thanks for posting the camera settings and the photoshop hint. I've got some frustrating shots of some birds similar to these. but ... uh no ... they did not go overhead!! "Still maybe I can get a better shot next time," says she while scribbling down notes ;)have fun,
