The light on Mr Washington only lasts for a short period of time ...The Capitol police refer to it as the George Washington spotlight. I was shooting in the rotunda and one of the Capitol policeman told me about the light and when to come back to see it...needless to say I was there the next day. The amazing thing about this light is you simply do not see it with the necked eye...
