Stars and Stripes Forever

This is to honor the many fallen military heroes for the upcoming U.S. Memorial Day Holiday observance on May 31. The small flags dotting the larger represent the many soldiers who lost their lives to protect our country. The larger backdrop of the flag represents the greater good these brave men and women died to protect. (This was produced by placing drops of water on a Mylar sheet just inside an open garage entrance. We held a flag so the light from outside backlit the flag, giving it a luminance, reflecting brightly off the Mylar sheet. The camera was mounted on a tripod over and just to the inside of the garage from the Mylar sheet. Every drop of water also reflected the flag image, but inverted. Adjustments were made in Photoshop CS3.)
