New hatchlings.
I visited Forest Lawn Cemetary, in Buffalo, NY today, and was delighted to find these brand new goslings.
Three have hatched, and there are six eggs remaining. This is the same 'Protective Mother' that I captured and posted last week.
Such a good mother!

I laugh when I think of me, Terry and Barbara, all laying on the ground, on our bellies (goose poop and all!), with our lenses pointed at these goslings!

Martie, I did not use a fill flash, but the lighting conditions were fantastic. It was a somewhat cloudy day and the nest was situated under a large tree, in dappled light.
