well, you certainly made of me a happy girl with such wonderful words from the begining!! THANK YOU indeed for such postitive reactions and for taking the time to write them down,it counts a lot. Time is something WE NEVER HAVE ENOUGH, and us photographers, we always have good reasons to be outside, isn´t it? So, I appreciate indeed this time you spent here sharing your visions of the world to make this site so alive!!

Michael, I think this image has just a selective coloring, nothing of unusual, the more important thing here is that you look at your picture and think: which detail really caught my attention for me to shot this? And then you use PS and your imagination to make that detail visible upon the others on your image. Here I was trying to catch the flowers that were lighten by a beautiful sunrise light and the background with the lovers sitting there, and all the calm ambiance. But, the photo was confused for others, too many things, so I began thinking about a way of showing what did impressed me that moment. I selected the flowers that caught my attention, then select>inverse, go to hue/saturation and put saturation on zero on everything but the flowers I selected. This way you can now look to the image and see two levels, and also understand the photo. On the desaturated part I applyied the diffuse glow a little. You just try it on a photo where there is a particular detail that made you shot it, I have another example more recent in my gallery : "world of the mind # ".
