Contrats on a fine photo. Just wish you'd change the label to Tiger swallowtail to appease those of us who are sticklers for accuracy. #438873Brock A. Willis March 21, 2004
I changed the name to fit what kind of butterfly it really is. :-) I am very happy everyone likes it was fun getting that picture. :-) Brock #438936Richard H. Hahn March 21, 2004
I apologize in advance for this comment. But, it is a :-) response in kind...Brock, when you are awarded a "winner" designation, it usually suggests the photographer assume some humility and graciousness. Not the case here, I guess.
You may call your butterfly anything you want, but it will never be a Monarch, nor is the photo of regal nature.

I see the butterfly id name has just been changed. I regret and retract my previous reactionary comments. #439020Brock A. Willis March 21, 2004
Yeap I did change it. Had been aiming to change it just never got around to it. I hope to find more like that one this year around that old barn. Brock #439038Shelly A. Van Camp February 09, 2008

Diane you are so right. And when people see some of the bugs and other things I have taken there like wow I have never seen that before. I love nature and getting out in it and finding new things to photography. Thanks for everyone's comment on this awesome butterfly I took. I followed it around alot before I got this one. #6329833Sign up for an interactive online photography course to get critiques on your photos.
