Description

I know I've said this before but if you want butterflies in your yard plant coneflowers. They are just like magnets. This was taken in the afternoon sun with a 100mm lens.

I've got some planted but nothing but buds yet. I'm actually lucky to have those as the rabbits were chowing down on the plants until I put wire around them so they could get tall enough to survive the nibbling. Your detail and clarity are wonderful here, Kathy, and I love the composition. Beautiful job. #6170722

Dathy- Good morning my friend. I agree with you. We had cone plants up north and the butterflies just love them. Want to plant some down here. They are so beautiful and hardy.
Love the composition and the way you brought the flower in and the the introduction to that stunning butterfly. The framing is excellent. Beautiful rich colors that are so dazzling. Definitions done to perfection on both the cone flower and the butterfly. Love the features of both. Lighting and clarity outstanding.

G'day Kathy,

This butterfly study has been done very, very well.
The subject itself is a very fine specimen and it sits upon a most complementary flower.
Your composition is perfect.
The focus is crisp and the depth of field has rendered a very fine bokeh to a most pleasing background.
The lighting/exposure/processing show off the little scene extremely well.
The colours are beautifuly natural and the contrast most pleasing.
Great work that girl!
