Spectacular Nick!!!! I love this!!!! The lead-in, framing, light, tones and beautiful sunrise all come together to make this one outstanding image Nick The artistic reflection back to the viewer is simply amazing with the two trees and strong roots facing outward toward a new day.

It was worth being in those swampy Mangroves and those 3000 little midges biting at you:) A beautiful moment you've captured and one many of will never see except through your eyes.

This is just a remarkable image!!!!Gorgeous with that sun rising between the two dead mangrove trees it has perfect balance...the topper for me is the tidal pool between the two trees reflecting all that beauty of rich color,and leading the eyes out to the rest of the magnificent sky!!!! Your wonderful title does justice to this moody beautiful capture too!!! #4885041

Thank you everyone very much for your particularly kind comments ...they are much appreciated....and thanks to the judges for choosing this image.... for those who've asked...midges or sandflies are insects which inhabit estuaries and have a habit of swarming and biting...similar to mosquitos...in this instance they were so bad that I had to brush them away from in front of the lens #6372270
