Description

The famous pyramid shaped Niesen Mountain dominates the sky. (7749 feet)

The greenish/blue colored lake seen past the barn is Lake Thun

I took this photo June 3rd while out on a short and wet 5-hour motorcycle ride.
I took this image because I loved the stormy sky.

I had to hike 10 minutes down into the field from the road to place the barn in the image for FG interest.

This was a first attempt. By this time I had reset the image quality back to RAW. It was yesterday’s post that I had to go back and reshoot. I made a mistake and left the camera set on low quality JPG.

This is a winning capture, Les. The light and composition are perfect and every element is "worth" having in the image: the lake, the sloping hillside on the right in the foreground, the barn with the light hitting the roof just right nestled in the stand of trees, the glimpse of the lake in the distant valley, the mountain peak breaking through the clouds, and of course that dramatic sky.
