A definite keeper! :-) #112372Murry Grigsby May 26, 2019
Thanks, Y'all! Here's my secret--in early October I throw the seeds in a bowl and mix them up for a few minutes. I broadcast the seed by hand onto bare raked ground. I tamp them down gently with the rake and keep them moist for a couple weeks. In the spring its a wild flower meadow. Thanks again, Judy, Darren, Suzy, Joy, Sharon, Colette, Gene, Char, Claudia, Carolyn, Patricia and Darren. You folks are so kind! #112427Leanne M.E. Boyd May 26, 2019

Hi everyone and thanks for all your kind congrats. I found a PC that I could jump on long enough to pick up my e-mails and peek at the June winners. What a great bunch of photos and I'm honored to be amoung them :0) Let me include a blurb that my son sent me about my oldest grandson, Josh. If anyones if Philly Saturday night and likes rock music here's the scoop:Arms of Orionfeaturing Josh Grigsby (Jim's son) on drums has been

Murry, a BIG CONGRATULATIONS TO YOU ON YOUR WIN WITH THIS BEAUTY!!! Sorry, I'm behind... SO HAPPY FOR YOU! Well-deserved!!! #169958Murry Grigsby August 17, 2003
With all you do, Jean, I can't imagine you'd ever be caught up :0) Thanks for taking time to have a look and comment. I bet you were surprised at which of your photos won in July (or maybe not). I certainly was but heck at that point it's just nice to win. Congrats on hanging in there and getting the job done. Now you need to get the GP!! #170079Jean Papo August 17, 2003
Ah, Murry, you're too sweet! (and always the life of the betterphoto party too) Wish we lived closer so we could have a mini-celebration! How bout a virtual one? I'll bring the drinks and we'll toast to each other at 9 tonight! Bring the wife and quilts...hubby used my win as a chance to get a cigar. (UGH! even outside, UGH!) Actually, I was rooting for my little anteater...crazy "mom" that I am...Again, congratulations, on your win, Murry! You deserve to be in the winners circle!! #170205Michael F. Millay August 19, 2003
2 nd Place ! Good enough FOR Ya' Me Compadre !I read your Comments - Waaaaasaaaaayyy above. About TRYING to win - about YOUR Favorites falling by the Wayside - now "Going with the Flow", etc.
I CAN relate, and whole- Heartedly Concur !
Now when I View MOST of the (300 + ? ) "Finalists" on ANY month - I am astounded ! SUCH Excellence. OUTStanding Stuff.
They are what I call "Photographer's Photos".
I am HUMBLED and amazed at Sooo Many BEAUTIFUL - Excellent works - Ya - WOW !
However...
Usualy 1 or 2 out of 10 "PLACE" Winners - I think
WHAT ? This ? ... is BETTER Than (a Certain ) Other ??!!??
And, Call me what U will, But I will bet MY $100
to Your DIME that at least One of the "Judges"
( WHO ARE They? ) is a Woman. There are Far Too many HORSE - - and Simple Kid, or Baby Shots Winning!
And whille I am BITCHING - Well FIRST Asuume I send 99 KUDOS to B P - 'Cuz I DO. BUT ...
I do not think it is Right, or Fair - that ONE person should ever win MORE THAN ONE "PLACE"
Award - in the SAME - ONE Month !
With Over 6,000 entries per month ?? NOT Right!
(was that MORE than "2 Cents Worth ? )
Do Not feel you need to Reply to this.
I would be SICK of TYPING - if I were you!
Rock on ! ... Sharpshooter

Thanks again, Jean! Michael, as far as I know the judges never see the name of the entrants until after all the finalists and winners are picked. So I guess it is conceivable that one person could win all the places :0) That would be something if it happened. But over all I think they do the best they can having to deal with so many entries each month. I can't think of a better way of doing it but it would be intersting if there was a peoples choice each month. #172506Gordon McGregor April 05, 2004
I'll just comment on one image, though all of the shots in your gallery are beautiful. You have some really lovely photographs here.Gordon
