Hi Ariel,

Not sure what you mean by "only started getting comments after it was finalist", I thought that pretty much goes for all images here? How else would anyone know it exists?

As far as the image quality displayed here, I am stumped when it comes to preparing jpegs from the original 5400 DPI scan from the Fuji Velvia 50 chrome. To me it is highly unpredictable how it ends up looking on the website. If you have any helpful hints I would be grateful.

I was just saying that for such a good grand prize winning picture, you'd think people would have noticed it a little earlier. That's all. It really is a nice image. But to make it look better in the web...

Using some image editing software (I recommend Helicon Filter Free), resize it to 480 pixels on the shorter end and then save it as a 100% jpeg. Then, open that picture and sharpen it to your liking, save it as a 100% jpeg again and upload it.

That would make your pictures reliably looking optimal! :) Keep up the excellent work, Inge!
