An overcast day is the perfect light for photographing flowers and people. The light is diffused. Studio photographers achieve similar the results by using special equipment --soft boxes to diffuse their lights making the lights appear like window lighting.

You still captured the directional light on the overcast day, which gave you detail, shaping, contours to your flower and achieved both composition and quality to your work.

I remember that last year on November six I was looking for a rose picture in the net and I found this beautiful rose and when I show it to my kids the told that it looks like butter more than a rose and they ask me if they can see more pictures from this lady called Kara Hendricks. We loved it all and since that day I became a Better Photo member and making photography and BP my most important addictions.
