Jill,

You should be extremely pleased with this photo. It is outstanding in all aspects.

I would like to know exactly what manipulations you performed.

Outstanding work!!

Cheers,

Thankyou very much Glenn! I converted it to bl&wh by splitting the channels and throwing out the red and blue channels. Then I dodged and burned and used curves to create more contrast. Then converted to RGB and added a little sepia color with color balance. Glad you like it! -Jill #4176

It is very interesting. The lighthouse looks like it is made of metal. It has a Metallic glow. I really like it. #4180

Just found this site today (1/8/02) and went directly to your beautiful lighthouse for the following reasons: I just started learning Photoshop; I just started digital photography; I also photograph lighthouses (35mm), this same lighthouse I shot last July (see my version at http://moknowsphotos.com/GrossePoint.JPEG). As you can see, when I was there the leaves obscured the light, plus my version is from the beach, so 'Get out and shoot in the winter' is a great motto since you can see more, especially in the land of the broadleaf trees (Midwest USA).
Which photo from MoKnowsPhotos.com should I submit to this site?
Keep up the good work jill! #4561

This really is a marvelous photo. I love lighthouses for the reason that they can be used so profoundly in many metaphors. And this is a beautiful portrait to associate lighthouses with all that they represent. Congratulations; you have an exceptional eye for visualizing, editing, burning, toning, etc. #2856581
