This is a gorgeous shot Jim! Just LOVE those huge happy-looking sunflowers - who could be sad after looking at them!! The polarized sky is so nice and BLUE too...I have been having a look through your gallery Jim, and you have some other really great shots in there too!
Photography is such a wonderful hobby (or maybe more for some!), isn't it?! Thanks to all at Better Photo.com for such a wonderful site... #470937

Thank you so much, everyone. I really appreciate your kind comments.Photography is so fun - we really do get to live a rich life - and this is the kind of image that is not too hard at all to get. You just have to find the right field.
In my case, I was tagging along with Bryan Peterson on a workshop in Provence in France. My wife and I decided to drive ahead to scout out locations - always looking for the lavender fields that looked perfect and fully in bloom.
Instead of lavender, we happened upon this perfect field of sunflowers, which was even better. We did not expect to find sunflowers in bloom yet. We phoned Bryan and the rest of the gang arrived shortly thereafter.
Scouting is half the fun of being a photographer, and a great rationalization when the conditions are just not right for shooting. In this case, the conditions were just right, so we combined scouting with actual shooting.
Man, was that ever a fun day! #1925405
